Psalm 108:13 “With God’s help we will do might things, for he will
trample down our foes.”
Do our prayers end with requests for help to make it through stressful
situation? David prayed not merely for rescue but for victory with God’s
help. We can claim more than mere survival, we can claim victory! Look
for ways God can use your distress as an opportunity to show His might
power. For in God, all things are possible.
In James 1: 6 - 8 “But when
he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a
wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think
he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man,
unstable in all he does.” When we trust the conversion of the Parish
Hall into a Worship Hall is God’s project, as one heart and mind we need
to believe that God will bring it to completion. Hence, in order to
receive from the Lord, we must not be doubtful nor be double minded.
When facing hardship, David knew that the help of man is worthless, only
with the help of God, he will gain the victory, for He will trample down
our enemies (Ps 108:12-13). Who then is our enemy? Our fear, doubt,
disbeliefs, double-minded and negative feelings. Therefore, to overcome
these, in one heart and mind we need to trust God for His victory.
Come! Let us march forth…
